THE CHALLENGE
GE Power was striving reduce their time to market for new product releases, ramp up their engineering team, improve product quality, and improve customer service levels. To fill this need, GE Power introduced Predix Studio and App Engine to the market, a purpose-built Industrial IoT platform. The platform is designed to facilitate complex data integration for the Industrial Internet. The platform combines adaptive stream computing, complex event processing, and sophisticated machine learning capabilities to enable real-time data analytics and automation.
THE SOLUTION
OSI Consulting established an engineering team as an extension of the GE Power team which included application architects, developers, QA and release management resources. An onboarding process, knowledge transfer and training curriculum was developed for both the OSI and GE resources. OSI also defined and implemented a DevOps process along with automated testing framework, and cloud-based customer development and support solutions.
